Chia Yoong Hui is the founder, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of Ascenz. In 2008, he established Ascenz and led the company as CEO until stepping down as CEO in October 2019. He remained as Chairman and took on the role as Chief Strategy Officer. An entrepreneur and innovator in the operational intelligence industry for more than two decades, Yoong Hui provides strategic direction to Ascenz as it leads the international market in the delivery of its Shipulse solutions suite.
Under Yoong Hui’s leadership, Ascenz has grown to an award winning company, well recognised in the industry for its innovation. He has pioneered ship data analytics on the world stage to further the company's growth.
Yoong Hui graduated from the University of Wales with a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Business Computing with Financial Management in 1999 and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in 2005.
He was awarded EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 - Maritime Technology Solutions and the Highly Commended International Alumnus Award 2018 from the University of Southern Queensland.
Marc Haestier joined GTT as CFO and member of the Executive Committee in 2017. He holds a Degree in Applied Economics and an MBA from the University of Louvain and began his career holding various financial positions within Arjo Wiggins between 1985 and 1997, in Belgium and subsequently in the United Kingdom, before joining Alstom in Paris in 1997 as Director of Treasury and Financing. He then moved to Gaz de France in 2004 as Deputy CFO. Following the merger between Gaz de France and Suez in 2008, he became SVP in charge of Treasury, Financing and Insurance. Since 2010, Marc was CFO of the Infrastructures Business Line of Engie.
David Colson is a graduate in Engineering & Commerce from Birmingham University (B. Eng. / B. Com.) and has been employed as a Project & Commercial Manager within the automotive industry with major OEM’s. He gained experience in ship propulsion through the construction of test-beds for vessel marine diesel engines.
He joined Gaztransport & Technigaz in 2004 as Project Manager for Samsung Heavy Industries with the responsibility of all project activities. He was based on-site in Korea from May 2007-2008 as the senior liaison between SHI and GTT during the construction of the Qatari large LNGC.
Under the new GTT organisation established on October 1st, 2010, M. Colson was appointed Commercial Vice-President and is responsible for GTT’s Commercial team of Licensee Key Account Managers, Business Development Team, Communication, and Strategy and Marketing Team. The Commercial team expanded in October 2016 with the creation of the dedicated team for LNG as Fuel applications.
Helene is head of Corporate Development of Gaztransport & Technigaz (GTT). Her role is to support the diversification initiatives of the company, in particular leading M&A projects. She has experience in business strategy for various industries and is also president of Cryometrics, GTT’s subsidiary dedicated to providing operational performance improvement services to LNG carriers.
Helene holds a Master of Science in Executive Engineering from Mines ParisTech and an MBA from Boston University. She started her career in IT Consulting, supporting project delivery for major French utilities. Helene then joined a family business venture in the chemical industry, where she focused on strategy and innovation. She joined GTT in January 2014.
Anouar Kiassi joined GTT in June 2018 where he was appointed Chief Digital & Information Officer. He has 11 years’ experience in Digitalisation and Information Technologies. He previously held various positions in Software Development, Digital Consultancy and then in Program Management, before integrating the group ROUSSELET. Within this Group, he performed Project Management and Digital Transformation, as well as Department Manager duties. He has obtained a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from the Telecom ParisTech in Paris and a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Ecole Polytechnique in Palaiseau, France.
