For ship owners to manage ship efficiency effectively, it is important to check the performance of the vessel’s engine from time to time to verify its working conditions, detect possible faults early, and take measures to achieve efficient combustion. The Engine Performance module assists ship owners with an intelligent health check solution for their vessels’ engines. Engine performance parameters are continuously monitored, including cylinder indicators like compression, injection timing, injection condition, bearing and misfiring, where data is transmitted back to shore via satellite network or GSM network to be viewed online on the Shipulse Portal. With this information, ship owners and managers can monitor engine performance remotely in their offices and instruct onboard crew to take corrective measures to optimise vessel performance.
